The Squirrels foil the Amateur Naturalist

And I thought I had it figured out!
My five black-colored squirrels are now being joined by one grey squirrel. This causes me to retreat from the theory I expressed in the post linked to above.
I am now not sure what is going on; it appears the squirrel social networking has changed as the winter has settled in.
