Semi-live-blogging the French Open Final

As one might expect, Nadal is bouncing off the walls. These two guys are such a great contrast, Federer seemingly so cool, and Nadal manifestly very excited. I find both players quite attractive in their approach to the sport. I cannot recall looking so much forward to a match in several years.

First Set: 6-1 Federer and it still took well over 40 minutes. Will Nadal wake up? Will we still be playing at 3 pm Eastern time?

Second Set: Nadal woke up - 6-1 for him. This could be a long haul.

Third Set: After nearly losing a service game, but recovering, Nadal broke Federer and held on for the third set.

Fourth Set: Wow. Nadal with a break already and no apparent vulnerability.

No real vulnerability indeed. The match was a disappointment - Nadal was just too good.
