NDP starts off just as expected

So the NDP Policy convention is on its way! They just passed a resolution to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan now, rather than, as the leader Jack Layton had proposed, in February 2007. Layton is somewhat waffling now, and clearly repudiated his own party's position by saying that of course Canada had to consult allies before acting immediately.
What a joy to lack power! One can occupy such convenient spaces, lacking any responsibility.
BTW I would have thought that their convention blogs might have some value. So far what I have seen is completely out of date and quite stilted. Curious - not a cool party at all.
