I've ranted about this in the past.

Abiola Lapite poses some very intelligent questions about the same topic here.

I can find no logical argument for asking the general public to subsidize the tastes of the relatively wealthy.

Dissolve the CBC! (Though it is all I ever have on my car radio, and I watch the TV offerings occasionally.)
