Goethe in Darmstadt
The local park has a statue of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, apparently because he used to show up here in Darmstadt on hikes from Frankfurt. However, judging from the statue, he must have been pretty penurious at the time, as it appeared he could not afford clothing.
He does take on a rather interesting pose. I am not sure what that hand on the hip is doing.
