Thomas Walkom rather self-importantly asks:

Am I the only one who is sick of the fixation on Barack Obama's visit to Ottawa?

I suspect what he really means is whether he is the only person in the employ of the Toronto Star who is not swooning over Obama's visit.
It was a good start to a column that, as usual, goes nowhere after that.
But he is right, the national swoon on the CBC and Star continues.
