Earth Day Plan

To start working throug David MacKay's "Sustainable Energy - without the hot air". A little youtube video from him:

h/t Globalisation and the Environment.
And as I read it, I shall keep in mind the much bleaker "We Cannot Make a Dent in Global Carbon Emissions", which focuses on some of the same issues, but emphasizes a lot more the economic and political issues. (h/t same as above, previous post)
The two key points that summarize this is his global concern:

We don’t control the global supply of carbon...We no longer control the demand for carbon, either.

Now I need some good sources on mitigation/adaptation. :-)
