1939? Really?
IMDB lists Wuthering Heights as among the stunning collection of films from that year.I have no wish to document this (I seriously doubt any movie year could ever again be so good) but I am watching Wuthering Heights and really impressed.
The child actors are superb.
I doubt anyone could improve on this.
The first sight of Olivier is stunning.
