Harper Almost has me Back to Proud

I thought he looked great and spoke well on Fareed Zakaria's CNN show on the weekend.
I was somewhat surprised when Zakaria and much of the press got all excited about Harper's saying :

Frankly, we are not going to ever defeat the insurgency

Well, part of this is, what do you mean by we, Kemo Sabe?

P.S. I was a little less impressed with the preening about our banking system. I am unconvinced we have a more effective regulatory regime than anyone else. Culturally, I think we are just lucky.
