Compulsory Edinburgh Animal-Blogging
I was last in Edinburgh three years ago, with the SillyWife, and I remain terribly disappointed that during our wanderings we did not arrive at this point.
I had known the story from childhood but still found the silly little statue very moving when I saw it 30 years ago. But only today did I discover the headstone in the graveyard.
It is lovely that people still leave flowers and stuffed animals - but that people leave sticks blows me away - they know dogs!
And yeah, you are right, this could have been the basis for a Disney movie!
