John Ford and Framing

I know no director even close to him; when I re-get serious about photography I plan to learn all my lessons from him.
And boy did he know the red filter!! How do I do that on a digital camera?
The question is serious - I am sure I can sort it out quickly but I would like an answer for tomorrow.
And BTW has there ever been a brilliant scene to match Mowbray's 'Hamlet' recitiation with Victore Mature's commentary?
I know little in Western art that competes with this.

And this is it because it allows the confrontation between two great traditions. Though when you listen to the Shakespeare he sounds like an American Revolutionary. And Doc Holliday makes it clear.
